Firefighters and rescuers are among the most dangerous and stressful jobs among all possible. People who choose to work in a fire station and rescue squad must be brave and courage, responsible, unhesitating and careful. They also have to follow orders, rules and instructions to avoid accidents. But sometimes bad things happen. And once such thing happened in a rescue squads of Lieutenant Kelly Severide and Lieutenant Matthew Casey. Their friend Darden got trapped and dies in a fire during a rescue mission. They both feel guilty and angry about that and their friendship is broken although they need to continue working together. A new guy comes to their team instead of Andy Darden and fire station continues to receive calls of fires. Of course, a group of paramedics usually follows them on the call.
