In the end of the previous season both Zoe and Wade failed in their new relationships and faced the broke up. This eventually has brought Zoe to Wade with enough determination to declare she’s in love with him. But as it turned out Wade was not that happy with such a turn in his life. After all the events they both have been through he makes it clear to be not ready to dive into the old-new relationship story with Zoe. He feels they does not share a common future but that actually doesn't stop Zoe and makes her even more decisive to fight for his attention and get him back. Eventually Wade decides to stay in Bluebell and Zoe takes it as her direct chance.
