The events of the season begin with Nancy’s release from the jail where she had spent three years and eventually was released for the “proper behavior”. After the prison she is sent to the rehab center. When this information reaches Andy and Nancy’s two sons they immediately decide to leave Copenhagen and to head to NY where Nancy is now. They are of course worried about how seriously she has changed during the years in prison. But arrive only to discover that nothing has changed. First she escapes the meeting with them by sneaking out through the back, then smokes marijuana and makes a deal with her prison friend brother about one pound of marijuana.
