Typical American suburbs is a place where many secrets are kept and almost every person has his own skeleton in the closet. Nancy Botwin lives in one of those suburbs. She’s a mother of two boys, age 15 and 10. And those boys both have rather complicated nature. Her husband and their father died and Nancy found herself in urgent need of money. She needed to feed her boys. And the only "reliable" option she finds eventually is to sell weed she can get from local Afro-American family. So Nancy is going to develop her own buyer’s network and it turns out that there won’t be the lack of those willing to buy weed from her. Her neighbors and friends, lawyers, different agents and other interesting personalities are going to pay a visit in urgent need of Nancy’s popular product. Of course, there won't be only happy buyers. In such job as weed dealer you can't exist without antagonists. The show is full of unexpected twists and dark humor.
