It is a difficult time for Leslie to choose between her dreams and relationships with Ben Eventually the two break up after Leslie understands she can’t run the city council and date Ben at the same time. This break up won’t go that easy as they both will have to struggle the aftermath. While she thinks it’s ok to be just friends, Ben complains this friendship only hurts him. Meanwhile Leslie also becomes suddenly pulled into the personal life of Ron after his ex-wife appears and has a serious influence on him. Later in the series Leslie also discovers some unpleasant facts from her personal history while taking the promotion tour of her newly published book about Pawnee.
