It’s been less than three months since the events in season four when Fiona has been released from the prison and her brother Ian has revealed the symptoms of Bipolar disorder. Frank Gallagher’s family meets another summer in Chicago. And it again brings certain changes to every member of the family. Lip leaves the college and comes back home for summer. But has to overcome certain misunderstanding to fit in again with his old friends from the South Side. Fiona meanwhile looks for the right balance on her new job at Patsy's Pies. Later in the series she finds a new romantic interest and begins the relationships with the musician.
