On one ordinary evening Ben Matheson returns home, but looks rather worried. He asks his family to put together all the food and water, and insists on doing that very quickly, because there is not much time left. His family didn’t even realize what he was talking about when all the lights were off. And the electricity is gone throughout the whole planet - TVs and computers are down, means of connection are lost, no technologies left at all. Welcome to the Middle Ages. The whole modern life we have is build upon the electricity. So what will happen if it’s unexpectedly gone?
Fifteen years past. People live in small communities, so as Ben Matheson’s family. One day a group of soldiers come to their house, Ben is killed and his son Danny is taken away. Before death Ben tells his daughter Charlie to find his brother and her uncle Miles.
