It’s been almost six months since Joan has moved out and Holmes returns to NY ready to investigate the new cases and to work together with the Police Department. His interest to NYPD is renewed because he has been fired from MI6. But he doesn't return from London alone - Kitty Winter follows him, a new protege and assistant. Kitty helps him with the investigations and works together with him on the new case.. which also brings Joan Watson to them. Now the main problem for the two is to learn how to overcome the difficulties and miscommunication which exists between them in order to work together and finish the case.
