Ben becomes rather successful on his new job in Washington DC. April followed him in Washington and helps as an intern being also rather happy with her duties. Leslie arrives at Washington together with Andy to meet both April and Ben. As their jobs are connected with the congressional campaigns Leslie feels rather awkward when realized how small and insignificant her job in the small town is. Eventually when she starts her work as a City Councilor she meets her first enemy - Councilman Jamm - who takes an opposite position concerning her ideas. Andy prepares to his future job in police, but has to train a lot to pass the physical examination.
