Cullen decides to change his life and to escape the spirits of the past in Mexico. But he can’t go here that easy because he requires a serious amount of money for this trip. Since the law doesn't mean anything to him anymore, Bohannon chooses the popular way of getting more money - he robs the trains and ex-Confederate soldiers assist him in this criminal activity. When he gets into jail for all his crimes he manages to escape the death penalty only with the help of Durant. Soon Cullen understands his life is connected with the Hell on Wheels more then ever. He starts to watch the crime balance in town and solves different internal and external problems.
