Gideon disappears, no one is aware about his location. The BAU experiences the little staff crisis because besides Gideon another two agents are off the team game - Hotchner applies for a transfer to another division and Prentiss resigns. The three agents (Reid, JJ, Morgan) have to investigate a very difficult case, one of the most difficult cases they ever had: the serial killer captures women in public by using his own son as a bait. The team has to track him down in Milwaukee. Another case will bring the team to Florida where their new investigation is connected with a series of disgusting crimes - someone is taking women, feeds them with the severed fingers and then kills.
