While trying to seal the demons inside the hell and shutting hell forever Sam failed to finish the third trial because Dean stopped him to save his life. Sam stayed alive but became unconscious and soon went into coma. Being desperate in his attempts to wake brother up Dean agrees to accept a kind of help which he knows for sure Sam himself would be against of. Dean helps an angel named Ezekiel to possess Sam’s body so that angel can cure from inside without letting Sam even know anything about it. Meanwhile adventures follow Castiel - the former angel and now simply human or the angel without grace. Many angels became fallen angels when the Sky kicked them out and became closed for good and now many of them roam around the earth in search of the one who will lead them and point the right direction.
