In the last season Luther will have to deal with another serial killer who tries to imitate the murders which happened thirty years ago. The investigation eventually brings him to the old killer who is now at the retirement home. Another case distracts Luther constantly from the serial killer - a cyber troll was murdered and some facts point it was a ritual murder. Besides the investigations and his work Luther also deals with the growing attention from the inside and probably there is even the case Stark wants to build against him. Stark cooperates with Erin Grey and they also mange to use Ripley in their plans against Luther.
