House of Cards season 1

House of Cards is an absorbing political drama about the backstage struggle of American politicians. In the first season ambitious democratic congressman Frank Underwood in exchange for a promise to make him a secretary of state helps Garret Walker to become U.S. president. However, after the election, presidential chief of staff Linda Vasquez tells Underwood that he would not get the position he was counting on. Infuriated Frank and his wife Claire decide to do anything they can to avenge the newly elected president. With the help of Zoe Burns, a journalist, they take a set of actions in order to discredit their rival.
