The series show the everyday life of the three freshmen in the Blue Mountain State, which is a fictional university. They are Alex Moran, Sammy Cacciatore and Kevin "Thad" Castle. They all are the players of the University football team "The Mountain Goats". Alex is a talented quarterback with a lack of ambitions. Instead of dreaming about his future career as a sport star he prefers to have as much fun as possible during his study years. Alex shares the room with two other guys - Sammy and Kevin. Sammy’s part in the Mountain Goats is being a team’s mascot, while Kevin "Thad" is a senior linebacker. The series deal with the usual aspects of the American university life: parties, sex, drugs and sport.
